Step into the enchanting world of the Brio Personalization Station, an immersive, life-sized train station inspired by the iconic Brio toy brand. Located in FAO Schwarz NYC’s flagship store, this whimsical space invites kids and families to embark on a creative adventure, customizing their very own Brio trains in an unforgettable, hands-on experience.
At the entrance, Brio train posters evoke nostalgia, instantly setting the stage for a memorable Brio journey. The space’s design captures the essence of a real train station, with dioramas that bring the personalization experience to life, drawing in curious shoppers.
As you step inside, you’re greeted by a friendly train conductor, the heart of the experience, who guides you through the process. With a cheerful "All aboard the Brio Express!", the conductor - dressed in authentic uniform - welcomes visitors to the ticket booth at the centre of the station, where the magic truly begins.
A Personalized Journey
The first stop on your Brio adventure is selecting the letters to spell out the gift recipient’s name, which will be featured on both the Brio train and personalized luggage-style packaging.
The journey continues through the step-by-step Brio App, where guests can personalize their Brio box with a photo of the gift recipient, complete with added train accessories and a backdrop, as well as a special greeting. The Brio Personalization Station makes this process both fun and seamless, offering playful ways to make your train gift truly unique.
Bringing the Brio World to Life
The design of the Brio Personalization Station is deeply inspired by Brio's iconic product lines. Display shelves resemble a traditional train station, incorporating elements from Brio's beloved toys and vehicles. Every corner immerses visitors in the Brio world, making them feel like they’ve stepped into a giant version of their favourite toy set.
Throughout the experience, playful dioramas capture the attention of passing shoppers, inviting them into this delightful corner of FAO Schwarz. These miniaturized train scenes, paired with engaging interactions with the staff, create an inviting environment that encourages exploration and participation.
Adding to the immersive experience, a train ticker board animation sits behind the ticket booth, cycling through a loop of destinations reminiscent of classic train station boards. The rhythmic clicking of the ticker board is accompanied by authentic station sounds, from distant train whistles to the gentle hum of activity, all designed to transport customers into a bustling, playful world of Brio trains.
The Final Send-Off
Once customization is complete, visitors proceed to payment and receive their personalized creation. With a smile and a ring of the bell, the train conductor presents guests with their Brio luggage - a keepsake box containing their custom train featuring the recipient’s photo, a greeting from the gift giver, and a special Brio ticket - a small but meaningful memento from their journey.
